Honorary Recognitions

Awarded to individuals whose life and service reflect the spirit of Lord Buddha — in peace work, education, art, leadership, or humanitarian contribution.

The Honorary and Research Division of LBIU is the heart of our academic soul.
It celebrates wisdom in all its forms — scholarly, artistic, or humanitarian.

Through our online research platform, learners can publish, collaborate, and share ideas that contribute to global understanding.
Through our honorary recognitions, we honor those who live the Buddha’s message of compassion in action.

At LBIU, education is not a privilege — it is a right of every human being.
We welcome learners from all backgrounds, faiths, and nations to join our online global classroom.

Honorary Doctorate

This is the highest recognition LBIU can confer. It is awarded to individuals whose work in education, science, leadership, culture, or social service has left a lasting impact. Receiving an Honorary Doctorate is not about a certificate — it is about acknowledging a life’s work that has become a lesson for generations.

Honorary Professorship

This recognition is given to experts and professionals who have inspired learning beyond classrooms. They may have mentored communities, advanced knowledge, or introduced new ways of thinking. By naming them Honorary Professors, LBIU acknowledges their role as teachers of society.
